Biography

Shealtiel Durán Badillo was born in 1982 in Mexico City. He was guided in the way of the Lord by his parents, from whom he received the deposit of faith and through whom he developed a curiosity for the study of Scripture. He obtained his B.A. in Theology from the Central American Theological Seminary (Guatemala, Guatemala), he also holds a B.A. in Theology from Madero University (Puebla, Mexico). He has dedicated his life to education and the dissemination of theological work.

 

Therefore, in 2009 he instituted Clases de Biblia & Teología, serving since then as director and teacher. In 2010 he founded the theological magazine LEAN La Revista, being its editor and writing some articles. He has taught Theology and Greek at various institutions. He is currently a guest professor at the Presbyterian Theological Seminary of Mexico, Gonzalo Baez Camargo Methodist Seminary, Biblical Theological Seminary of Mexico, Universidad Más Vida and California University of Missions. He collaborates as an academic consultant for Librerías Papiro 52 for Editorial Clie.

 

In 2018 he began developing theological content in social networks, with weekly programs and live broadcasts on Facebook @shealtielduran and YouTube: Believe, Know, Confess. At the beginning of 2022 he co-founded the Latin American College of Theology, an educational offer of updating for pastors and teachers. He serves in pastoral ministry and preaching in Sanctorum Communio Iglesia Cristiana.

 

As a writer he has also published the books Manual para la interpretación bíblica and Traduttore, traditore? Nociones de traducción bíblica, the latter with a foreword by Edesio Sánchez Cetina.

 

He is the husband of his beloved Marlen and father of their three beautiful children, Ian, Lev and Zoé.
