Biography
Luis N. Rivera Pagán earned a doctorate in philosophy, with a concentration in religious studies, from Yale University (1970) and did postdoctoral studies at the University of Tübingen (Germany). He is a retired professor of the University of Puerto Rico, professor emeritus of Princeton Theological Seminary and professor emeritus of the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico.
He has written and edited several books including, Fe y cultura en Puerto Rico (2002), Essays from the Diaspora (2002), God, in your Grace… Official Report of the Ninth Assembly of the World Council of Churches (2007, editor), Theology and Culture in Latin America (2009), Theological and Literary Pilgrimages (2013), Theological Essays from the Caribbean (2013), Essays from the Margins (2014), Theological Voices in Dialogue with Culture (2017, editor), Literary and Social Evocations (2018).
One of the most respected voices at the academic and theological level throughout the American continent from the north to the south, one of the reference thinkers of evangelical Protestantism.
